I am mixing and putting finishing touches on our second album at the moment ,

I hope to be finished in a couple of weeks .

It’s in the Fetish nightclub scene  ( that’s a phrase you don’t use often ) .

8.30 SOHO .

Boom Crash Opera are going to release a cd with lost and rare tracks . We have been digging out cassettes and 1/4 inch tapes unearthing songs we haven’t heard for up to 30 years . Although the songs sound SUPER 80s and very daggy in places it has been a heap of fun to hook up with dear friends and together hear the raw energy in the music . ps – there are some gems in there .

Yep , Wentworth will air may 1st ( tomorrow ) at 8.30 pm on SOHO channel ,
Even though I have seen this episode a hundred times there’s nothing like seeing it on air . It’s a bit like hearing your song on radio , it’s very exciting .

Michelle and i have fleshed out the song ‘ Lock & key ‘ which is featured in the 5th episode of ‘ Wentworth ‘.

The Episode will air mid June and hopefully the track will be in the itunes store by then .

Here is a taste of it.

Wentworth season 1 is completed . My last cue was delivered yesterday and the Ep 10 is mixed today.

I always feel a little bit shell shocked at the end of a big job . It’s a combination of great relief and fear .

I have a hunch that they wont be leaving it at just the one season. Work on another season wouldn’t start until towards the end of the year so  until then —— who knows.

Many years ago i used to scratch out a tune on viola . I gave it up ( guitar seemed to make more sense ) . Recently i have been wondering if i could learn cello , It seemed conceivable considering i can play double bass  , To cut a long story short i bought a cello a few weeks ago . I’m no virtuoso but my viola days are slowly coming back to me . i can get a nice sounding long note (it’s harder than it sounds ) and i’m applying it already . I have used it on several wentworth cues  . I’ld like to do 15 minutes practise every day . Thats the goal anyway .

I have been working on Wentworth for a couple of months now head down bum up . It has been intense work with lots of long hours .

Episode 5 has a scene set in a fetish night club , I wrote a song with Michelle Pleasance for the scene which has a Mazzy star / Twin peaks-ish feel .

Alfie Pleasance plays a bit of Tenor sax on it as well .  Sometimes it feels like the Partridge family around here .

The song is called ‘ Lock and key ‘  .
