Most people associate Richard Pleasance with hit-making band Boom Crash Opera.  More recently, and less famously (but more to the point) he’s been successful as a writer of TV scores and as a music producer.

Happily situated in their Hepburn Springs studio, Pleasantville is a low key family affair with Pleasance on guitars, bass keyboards, and backing vocals, laying down a solid spread of sound over which wife Michelle applies smooth, seductive vocals.  Her warm tone at time bears a resemblance to vintage Nancy Sinatra. There is a darkness hanging over Pleasantville, evident in the lyrics as Michelle assumes the character of a hurt, hardened woman.

Michelle and Richard are joined by guest musicians including family members and friends . Pleasantville is a place you are going to want to visit and return to.
